About Us
Fellowship Trained Pain Management Doctor
Living with chronic pain can affect every part of your life, from your ability to work and stay active to simply enjoying time with family and friends. Dr. Todd Koppel believes every patient deserves more than temporary relief. They deserve an accurate diagnosis, a personalized treatment plan, and the opportunity to return to the activities they enjoy.
For nearly 30 years, Dr. Todd Koppel has helped patients throughout New Jersey relieve pain using advanced, minimally invasive treatments designed to restore function while helping many patients avoid surgery whenever appropriate.
As the founder of Garden State Pain Management, Dr. Koppel specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the spine, joints, muscles, and nerves, including back pain, neck pain, sciatica, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, arthritis, sports injuries, and personal injury cases.

Our Mission & Vision
Dr. Koppel believes successful pain management begins with an accurate diagnosis.
Pain is a symptom, not a diagnosis. Two patients may have similar MRI findings but require completely different treatments. That’s why every evaluation begins with listening carefully to each patient’s history, performing a comprehensive physical examination, reviewing imaging studies, and, when appropriate, using diagnostic procedures to identify the true source of pain.
Only after understanding the underlying cause does Dr. Koppel recommend a treatment plan.
His goal is always the same: relieve pain, restore function, and help patients avoid unnecessary surgery whenever possible.
